How does Diolaze® XL laser hair removal work?
The DiolazeXL laser concentrates energy beams on the hair follicles during their growth stage. The pigment in the hair follicles absorbs the energy of the laser, which disables or destroys the hair follicle. Disabled or damaged hair follicles can no longer grow strong hair.Designed with state-of-the-art diode lasers, the DiolazeXL® offers the most effective industry-leading hair removal treatment. Who is an ideal candidate for laser hair removal?
Women of any skin type of color who would like to effectively eliminate unwanted hair may be candidates for laser hair removal with Diolaze. Ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:

Have no rashes, outbreaks or infections in the treatment area

Have not recently tanned (with a tanning bed or by the sun) up to 3 weeks before the appointment time

How to prepare for a laser treatment?
What to expect during laser hair removal treatment?
Before your DiolazeXL® treatment there a few things you need to do to prepare for it:

The treatment area needs to be shaved in the last 12hrs.

No plucking, waxing or tweexing for 6 weeks prior to your treatment.

Arrive with clean skin, no skin care applied (shower prior to your appointment).

No excessively tanned skin from sun, tanning beds or tanning creams and sprays within 3 weeks of treatment.

Acutane should not be used within 6 months of the treatment

Do not use any topical products that cause photosensitivity (e.g. hydroxy acids, salicylic acid, retinols, and benzoyl peroxide) in the treatment areas for three days before treatment. Use a gentle cleanser and lotion on treated areas.

Do not have Botox injections, dermal filler injections, chemical peels or microdermabrasion in the treatment area for at least 14 days before laser hair removal.
Before your DiolazeXL® treatment, protective eye shields will be placed over your eyes to prevent any damage. Cooling gel will be applied to the treatment area, and Nurse Irena will begin the treatment going over the areas several times. This is done to ensure no area is missed, and for you to achieve the desired results. The time for the treatment depends on the area being lasered and if numbing cream is applied but it can be a maximum of an hour to 90 minutes.

Is DiolazeXL® painful?
DiolazeXL has unique cooling technology built right into the laser tool, meaning the treatment is virtually painless. However to make the experience more comfortable Nurse Irena will apply prescription numbing cream to sensitive areas.
