Anti-Wrinkle Treatments In Toronto & Etobicoke

Anti-wrinkle injections relax facial muscles that create deep lines and wrinkles. The injections provide smoother, younger-looking skin and can help eliminate frown lines between the eyebrows, crow's feet, forehead creases, and other facial wrinkles.

What to expect during a Botox treatment?

BOTOX is not a one-size-fits-all treatment. Nurse Irena consults with each of her patients to determine their unique needs. The injections themselves can be used in one or many areas, and the dosages can start small and gradually work up to yield more noticeable results. The ability to customize BOTOX injections in this way allows for a more natural-looking result. Numbing cream is used to make the treatment area less sensitive to the injections. The treatment time varies on how many areas are treated, and can last around 30 minutes.

When will I notice results after BOTOX?

The results of BOTOX typically begin to appear within a few days after the injection. However, the full results may not be visible for about 1 – 2 weeks, so it is important to wait an adequate amount of time before seeking a touch-up treatment.

BOTOX injections are a non-surgical and a safe plastic surgery alternative. For men and women who want a more youthful appearance but want to avoid surgery, BOTOX injections are an effective alternative.

Botox can treat:

  • wrinkles between the eyebrows, called frown lines, glabellar lines, or elevens

  • wrinkles around the eyes, known as crow’s feet

  • horizontal creases in the forehead

  • lines at the corners of the mouth

How long is the recovery time after Botox?

Following their procedure, patients should not return to normal daily activities. Don't rub or massage the treated areas after the wrinkle treatment and avoid laying down up to 6-8 hours after the treatment, because it can cause the botulinum toxin to migrate to another area of your face. Also it is recommended to avoid physical exercises and any activity that will increase your blood flow(ex: saunas) for a day or two after your botox treatment.

What after-care do I need to do after Botox?

Generally on the day you get botox it is a good idea to:

  • gently exercise your face

  • maintain a normal heart rate

  • avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area

  • relax for the rest of the day

  • leave the treated area alone

  • take a break from makeup for a day

  • do facial exercises like: smiling, raising your eyebrows, frowning.
